Anniston shows us her face!

As first time parents, we are doing a lot of things that some might find silly, wasteful, or just not necessary. But to us, they are important, fun, and worth every dime. Yesterday was no exception. We went and had a 3D ultrasound done. This ultrasound is much more detailed than a typical ultrasound. And it let us get our first glimpse at our baby girl. I think she is going to look like Andrea, and that is a good thing. She is much better looking than I am...and I would make an ugly girl.

So, say hello to Anniston Paige Rhoads.

We look forward to her arrival more and more each day. And now that we have seen her in more detail, the anticipation only gets worse.

Today we go to a "birthing class"...for 5 hours. I am not sure how I will be able to pay attention for that long, I better bring a snack.

OK, so, yeah, its been a while since we have done any kind of update. We do apologize. We have been a little busy.

First of all...you all guessed right, at least the answer you gave us was right. Baby Girl Rhoads, will be named Anniston. her full name will be Anniston Paige Rhoads. No meaning, no family significance, nothing more than we like it, it sounds good, it is unique, and well...we like it!

Next up...the crib arrived. Not when it was supposed to, but this is not the time nor place for that little rant...suffice it to say...go with UPS! But the crib arrived. And I managed to get it put together, despite my small number of diplomas on the wall. I also did not have to take anything apart, and re-assemble to get it right. It is amazing what happens when you take your time, and read the directions...despite the fact that you are sure you could have done it better.

Next up...we had our meet and greet with the Pediatrician's office this week. Very nice staff, the two we met, they seemed to have a great way of doing things, explained enough that we did not have a laundry list of questions, and overall made us feel good about choosing them to take care of our daughter. They came highly recommended...which never hurts. It was another big milestone in the process. Sorry, no pictures...I know...hard to believe that I go somewhere without a camera.

And finally...what you have all been waiting for: The Belly Update! Tonight marks the end of 7 months. So, tonight was as good a time as any to take another belly picture. So, without further ado...here it is!

That's it for now.
