Anniston rejoined us in our room this morning. We decided to let her sleep in the nursery the first night, so that we could get some rest, and so that she could be monitored on her first night in the strange new world she is getting used to.
I got to feed her again this morning, and got to change a diaper! I think I did ok with that, but did terrible at wrapping her back up. I did it all wrong, and she was not happy about it. The nurse showed me how to do it right, and to not be afraid of hurting her, and she has been sleeping now for almost 2 hours.
At 10:30 this morning, the nurse team came in and got Andrea up and out of bed, and she did a great job. She was able to brush her teeth, and she is now sitting in the rocking chair next to Anniston asleep in the crib.
That makes us caught up for now...thanks to everyone for their well wishes throughout the last three days. We look forward to our visitors.
Hey, Travis - Congratulations. She is gorgeous - just like her mom. Glad she arrived safely and Andrea is doing well. Jim and I were talking just a few weeks ago that we should plan a trip out that way but with Paul in California, that makes it hard to have 2 long-distance trips in a year. However - maybe we can get out there to see you guys before Anniston gets to school :) For now - I'll just watch her grow up on your blog. Take good care of your little family. Annette
